“Nurse Christy NYC” (@NurseChristyNYC) Always envisioned an aesthetic practice where safe, personalized patient care meets artistic skill. Having studied art and interior design as an undergrad, Christy has always had an eye for beauty and aesthetics. SkinSplendid was created based on a need for an unconventional aesthetic med spa. Christy has created a holistic approach to medical aesthetics by focusing on the patient’s overall health and nutrition and incorporating that into an aesthetic treatment plan that is patient focused. As an adult nurse practitioner, and registered nurse for over twenty years, Christy has worked in many areas of medicine and her focus has always been on overall patient safety, health and wellness through a patient-centered approach.
In 2014, after leaving critical care and bedside nursing, Christy began working in the field of Dermatology and Plastic Surgery. Since then, Christy has regularly attended trainings and conferences all over the country learning the latest and safest ways to treat her patients. Christy became a national injection trainer in 2018 and trains physicians and other providers all over the country on injectables and threading techniques.
The goal of SkinSplendid was to create a place where patients could come for concierge aesthetic treatments and not feel rushed or pushed into procedures that were not right for them. Christy wanted to create services that were results oriented. This is where experience and assessment skills matter most. At SkinSplendid, Christy works with each patient to determine the best treatments to meet their aesthetic goals whether that is fewer wrinkles, fuller lips, clearer and healthier skin, or a more youthful appearance!
Nurse Christy is a member of the American Nurses Association and of the International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses. She has been a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist and is a board certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Emma Adams, BSN, RN
Nurse Emma, BSN, RN (@NurseEmmaNYC) is a graduate of the University of Vermont and is passionate about skincare and injectables.
SkinSplendid is a family practice, Nurse Christy and Nurse Emma are mother and daughter, and the vibe reflects their goal of caring for patients, aesthetic and holistic needs.
Nurse Emma is following a clinical ladder of training and this is her second year in the aesthetic field. She is on a unique path and is skilled in neurotoxin and skincare. Her goal is to be a provider that complements Nurse Christy’s years of aesthetic experience. Patient safety, satisfaction and their connection to SkinSplendid matter the most to Nurse Emma.
She works at SkinSplendid’s New York, NY and Montclair, NJ locations.
